WEATHER – Mixed weather through this week, temperatures are rising to up to 25 degrees by the end of the week with dry and wet spells and some weather warnings. Friday and Saturday should be dry and trying wet on Sunday , Tuesday is also looking a wet day and winds are generally in from the East giving a fresher feel to the temperature . http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2648385?day=2) (https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcjqmsw80)

EXPECTED RIVER LEVEL OVER NEXT 72 HOURS – .3- .35 Meters

GORGE WALKING, CANYONING, GORGE SCRAMBLING CARDIFF AND SWANSEA PREDICTED REPORT – Definitely lower rivers this week but still a good flow of water. The recent wet weather has saturated into the group in the Brecon Beacons and we have had constant spells of rain to add to the flow. At present the rivers are lower on .3 meters so all gorge walking, gorge scrambling and canyoning activities are acceptable to continue with the obvious caution of cold water, river and land debris, slips, trips and falls. The conditions on both the Mellte and the Sychryd rivers in the Brecon Beacon National parks are perfect for the events. The weather is changing for Sunday with a weather warning so we will keep updated.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, BRECON BEACONS, SOUTH WALES REPORT SUMMARY – Good possibility of an epic few days with gorge walking and gorge scrambling getting high water levels in the Brecon Beacons. This will have to be monitored to see the actual levels for safety. Coasteering also looking possible for the Friday and we have a group from University of Wales on the coasteering event on Friday if the conditions hold. The weekend is stacked with Stag parties from Cardiff and Hen party groups all heading up to the mountain for swift water gorge and canyoning on the sychryd and Mellte rivers. OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES CONDITIONS REPORT SOUTH WALES UPDATE – 25TH JUNE 2019 – Fantastic surf conditions today with 2 – 3 foot waves and super clean. Coasteering is out due to the surging swell on the cliff faces making exit conditions hard and definitely not suitable for novice coasteerers.
