Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Brecon Beacons Conditions Report 18th December 2021 - Gorge walking , gorge scrambling, canyoning activities are all suitable at the moment with the river levels at a constant .378 meter level which is within the boundaries of good river levels of the activities stated. Rivers close to Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl, Llanelli and Brecon Beacons are all suitable especially on the Sychryd and Mellte Rivers. There is heavy rain predicted for Thursday which may swell the rivers to unsuitable levels especially for Canyoning Initially and then onto the gorge walking and gorge scrambling events. Sites close to Cardiff may have unsuitable conditions up untill Tuesday when the weather, wind, swell are looking the most acceptable for the event. Most West Wales sites should be suitable especially up untill Friday.
