Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Brecon Beacons Conditions Report 08th August 2021 - The rain has finally arrived on mass in the Brecon Beacons Waterfalls and accross South wales. The rivers are now in full flow and the waterfalls spectacular. Mellte and Sychryd rivers are medium to high at the moment so both events need to be checked constantly for river levels and the dynamics of the river flow. The higher water will bring increased hazards and dangers on the events creating a swift water environment. There may also be debris in the gorges and canyons due to the land being hard and the debris loose through out the region. At the moment the river levels are suitable for gorge walking, gorge scrambling, Canyoning and all gorge related events. However Canyoning is looking on the higher level for flow and must be constantly assessed especially if considering conducting with minors. All rivers close to Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl and throughout the Brecon Beacons are looking suitable for the events. Coasteering Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl, South Wales predicted weekly report 08th August 2021 -Coasteering across South wales on sites close to Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl is not looking good at the moment. High winds, big swells, stormy seas, and rough conditions swill mean no coasteering in the local area for the next week at least.
