GORGE WALKING, CANYONING, GORGE SCRAMBLING CARDIFF AND SWANSEA PREDICTED REPORT - Big week ahead on the waterfalls there are high waters predicted with heavy rain on the way. We have had rain this week and heavy rain for the next few days. Possibly Canyoning will be unsuitable on Friday - Monday due to high level rivers. There will also be high levels on the lower sections on the lower Mellte and Sychryd sections but on a level which would be acceptable for the gorge walking and gorge scrambling activities. This will be down to the levels of the water and the velocity of the water on the gorge sites. Debris in the rivers will also be an issue with rocks and trees moving in the water causing hazards. Caution should be taken at all times and individuals without supervision should not enter into the rivers.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, BRECON BEACONS, SOUTH WALES REPORT SUMMARY - This week is on the edge of good and bad. High winds, heavy rain, storms meaning no coasteering or possibly Canyoning. Gorge walking and gorge scrambling could be epic, definitely swift water water ever happens which is a fantastic event and on the higher levels on the spectrum. We have groups booked this weekend including Esther and the girls coming from Cardiff and also Jamie and the lads on their Stag weekend in Cardiff. Chris and his family will also be with us on the gorge walking activity in the Brecon Beacons waterfalls.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, SOUTH WALES REPORT UPDATE - High winds and heavy rain are predicted for the next two days. The river levels will be rising on the Mellte and Sychryd rivers, this will mean extra management on the Gorge Walking and Gorge Scrambling activities. River management, observation, group management will be key with certain sections of the river unsuitable for the activities. Canyoning on the high Mellte river will have to be transfered to the lower Mellte and Sychryd rivers where the flow of water will be less volatile. Full swift water procedures will be required and extra instructional coverage. All persons must be briefed on the importance of water safety and the option of staying on the dry paths on the gorge areas. All water entry will be optional and assessed by guides and individuals. Would not advise entry into the water if not full trained, experience or with competent persons to advise and assist. The rain has been falling but the river levels are still holding. They are high but still manageable with competent guidance and knowledge.
