Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning, Coasteering Outdoor Adventure Activities Report for South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Brecon Beacons

Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Brecon Beacons Conditions Report 05.03.2020 - Looking very good for river levels at the moment for all gorge activities including walking, scrambling and Canyoning. The Mellte river is .44 meters high at the moment which is perfect for all the events. There is rain due from Sunday onwards which may push river levels higher but definitely looking good for the weekend. The main issue is the debris in the rivers caused by the recent storms. There is a lot of tree debris and rock fall in the gorge and canyon areas. Extreme caution must be taken to avoid river debris and strainers caused by the debris. The rivers will also be flowing in conjunction with the new hazards so a heightened risk in the water cause. There are constant reports on the SWOAPG website informing of new hazards on the gorge sites.
