WEATHER – A little more settled this week with lighter spells of wind and lighter rain. Friday through to Wednesday should be dry and Wednesday and Thursday rain. Temperatures are between 7 – 10 degrees with colder temperatures on the nights. Winds are still quite strong with 20mph plus mainly Northerly and North Easterly the next few days. EXPECTED RIVER LEVEL OVER NEXT 72 HOURS – .90 meters – .60 meters
GORGE WALKING, CANYONING, GORGE SCRAMBLING CARDIFF AND SWANSEA PREDICTED REPORT – River levels are high at the moment on the Mellte River up to .9 meters and the land is saturated with water giving a constant flow of water. Dry weather is predicted for the next few days so the water levels should drop to a suitable .5 meters allowing access to all rivers for Gorge walking, Gorge scrambling and Canyoning. Next few days looking good for the gorge activities and Canyoning should be accessible as the rivers drop. water will not be dropping as quickly due to the saturated water levels on land.
WIND – Winds are predominantly Northerly over the next few days and stronger on Friday and Saturday up to 28 mph. Wind will decrease on Sunday and Monday and change strong 27 mph South Westerly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Possible wind change to South Easterly on Thursday.
SEA STATE and SWELL – Inshore conditions on the South Wales coast should generally be calm on Friday through to Monday and especially on Monday with Northerly winds predicted and light Northerlies on Monday. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday see a change in the week to Southerly winds up to 27 mph which will affect the sea state to stormy and choppy and rough sea states for these days.

COASTEERING CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, CARMARTHEN PREDICTED WEEKLY REPORT – Looking positively better this week for coasteering with Northerly winds and on Friday – Monday. Swell is also lower with 3 – 1 foot swells with 1 foot on Monday. Monday is actually looking the better day with low 8 mph winds, small swell and offshore conditions. Winds then change strong Southerly on the Tuesday through to Thursday so conditions will be turbulent on these days. Swell is also bigger when the winds change to Southerlies.
