HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! We have had a fantastic 2014 and can't wait for what 2015 has to offer, well firstly there is a HUGE SWELL at the moment coming along the Atlantic Ocean but with the Swell is also BIG WINDS in a Westerly direction. The Surf is BIG but blown out in alot of areas especially Westerly facing beaches like Rest Bay in Porthcawl near Cardiff and Langenith in Swansea, the best options will be protected beaches facing southerly like Coney Beach in Porthcawl which will be the best one situated by Cardiff or Caswell and Langland by Swansea. Sunday is looking the best day with the wind dropping and the Swell getting cleaner and stronger. Tides are late afternoons so afternoon Surf sessions are lokking the best option.

One activity which is a definite NO GO again for the next couple of days will be Coasteering, with the huge swells and big winds the coastline will definately be to volatile for Coasteering and this will be for all sites accross South Wales, Cardiff and Swansea, Caswell Bay might be an option on Sunday if the swell drops sufficiently.

The Waterfalls in the Brecon Beacons have been spectacular over the winter holiday period, they have also been quite erratic, the rainfall has been low to high throughout the period and at the moment is High but looking Ok for Gorge Walknig activities including Canyoning on the higher Gorges, Gorge Walking on the Sychryd Gorge and Gryll Scrambling. Be caution however as the rivers are high and very cold, so expert knowledge will be required for the activitiy to take place.

Kayaking is looking good in the rivers as the flow is strong and high, but only for the advanced paddlers out there, in all the conditions are looking varied, one thing is for sure its going to be cold, but we are going to St Lucia and The Grenadine Islands on an expedition today so we will be reporting from the sunny beaches of the Caribbean.
