Activities Cardiff, Swansea, South Wales conditions Report 03.03.2016

Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning, Ghyll Scrambling near Cardiff, Swansea and South Wales:       River Levels are on .48 which is perfect for all gorge walking and canyoning activities for the next few days. The rain is on and off through the next few days so the river levels could exceed the maximum levels for the activity to be safe on the Mellte and Sychryd Rivers. There is a band of rain coming in tonight which may affect the conditions but should drop back again for the weekend and over the next few days. The ground is still saturated which again will affect the water flow in the rivers and waterfalls.

Coasteering near Cardiff, Swansea in South Wales    Saturday is looking the best option over the next few days, the wind and swell will be at there lesser strengths and the tides and right for the early afternoon in Ogmore by Sea close to Cardiff and Caswell Bay in Swansea. The rest of the time however is looking to be to volatile for the activity as the swell and the wind are back to full strength. The water is also cold so the correct protection is required such as 5mm wetsuit, hood, gloves, BA and helmets as well as the correct footwear.

Surfing, Surf Kayaking, Beach Activities and Paddle Boarding    Surf is consistent for the next few days with a good formed swell for all beaches including Coney beach, Rest Bay, Caswell, Langland, Llangenith in Cardiff and Swansea. We have had very strong winds over the last few days so this may be a problem through the week. As always check the weather forcaste for wind and tide to make sure you pick the best beaches to surf.

Activities in Cardiff, Swansea and South Wales    Last weekend was an absolute blast with Kris and Kim both venturing onto the Gorge and Canyoning sites in the Brecon Beacons South Wales. The conditions were cold but perfect. The rivers were just at the right hight and the waterfalls in full flow, Kris was on his Stag weekend event in Cardiff and Kim on her Hen weekend. Both had a fantastic time on there activities. This weekend we are hosting Barry and the lads on there Stag activity. The lads will be canyoning in the waterfalls and then heading into Cardiff for there big Stag night out in the Capitol.
