Current river levels are looking good for both Gorge Walking and Canyoning although we are expecting some heavy rain across the weekend so it's absolutely vital you stay aware of rainfall in the region as this could cause river levels to rise to unacceptable levels.
The ground is completely saturated, so the waterfalls should be flowing constant in the Brecon Beacons and if river levels stay around their current levels you'll be in for a great weekend with all of our Gorge related activities. The weather is wet but the temperatures will be reasonably mild, although with a reasonable wind it could feel a little colder. You'll need to make sure you have some good warm, waterproof clothing for before and after your activities.
Stay clear of any Coasteering activities along the South Wales coast this weekend. We've got massive swell and strong Westerlies, possibly gusting into the forty knots region.
Our advice will be to look inland, to the beautiful Brecon Beacons for some Canyoning which gives you the same adrenaline filled jumps and traverses without the coastal conditions to contend with.
Well, you surfers have got some swell this weekend, that's for sure. You've also got some huge wind to contend with, so this weekend is for the experienced, strong surfers rather than those lacking experience. Head to some of the protected beaches along the South Wales coast to give yourself as much protection from the wind as you can, Caswell Bay in Swansea or Rest Bay in Porthcawl are potential beaches.
We've got some strong winds and rain forecast for this weekend but that isn't going to stop us putting on a full weekend of fun, action packed activities. We've got a full weekend, once again filled with Stag Do’s, and Hen Parties from Cardiff and Swansea and various other groups looking to join us for some Gorge Walking and Canyoning up in the Brecons.
