Coasteering in Cardiff and Swansea is one of the most popular adventure activities here in South Wales where it was invented. and situated 25 minutes from Cardiff City Center and 20 minutes from Swansea. There is even a coastal path that follows the whole coastline of Wales, we are also priverlaged to have the coasteering site close to both Cardiff City Centre and Swansea City Centre in the south Wales region
What is Coasteering?
Coasteering is quite possibly the best way to explore the beautiful coastline of South Wales.
Scramble, climb, jump and dive into the crystal clear, atlantic waters washing up on our sheer cliff faces and rugged coastline, with its coves, caves and hidden treasures. Coasteering is similar to Gorge Walking and Canyoning, and is a great all round outdoor activity with it’s jumps, traversing & climbing, but taking place along the South Wales stunning coastline.
We offer Coasteering experiences along virtually all of the South Wales coast, including Cardiff, Swansea and Porthcawl. It can be offered has a half day activity or as part of a full multi activity day.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
Coasteering has something for everyone, most of the activity caters for people who are not strong swimmers, however some sections will only be accessible by members of the group who can swim a minimum of 50 meters.
You will be provided with a buoyancy aids and wetsuits for your Coasteering activity to offer buoyancy, stability and support. All of our instructors are fully qualified and we are also an AALA licensed centre.
Most sections of the event are optional, so if you do not want to get wet, you dont have to, or you can wet and wild as you like.
Is Coasteering suitable for me?
Most people who join us for Coasteering activities have no previous Coasteering experience, and the experience can always be tailored somewhat for your group.
We’ve welcomed all manner of groups for Coasteering activities, from scout troops camping down in Swansea to Stag Do’s and Hen Parties from Cardiff.
We are an AALA licensed outdoor activity centre. All of our guides and safety officers are RLSS and surf lifesaving qualified.
What do I need to bring?
We’ll provide you with all of the safety equipment required for Coasteering, including wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets. All you need to bring is something to wear under your wetsuit – shorts, swimming costume, base layer / lycra top, etc – a towel and a good, sturdy pair of lace up trainers or shoes, and the right attitude.
What time do Coasteering activities start?
Coasteering activities are governed by the tide, so will vary from day to day. Once you have decided on a date for your Coasteering activity, we can give you more details about times.
Coasteering activities last for approx. 4hrs, including safety briefing and time to get changed. We are unable to offer full day Coasteering events due to the tides, but if you are looking for a full days itinerary, get in touch and we can organise a multi activity day.
How much does Coasteering cost?
Coasteering in South Wales prices include all thick wetsuit, bouyancy aids, safety helmets, Insurance and your qualified guide for the duration of your Coasteering activity.
Weekends – £45 per person with group discount 4 hours in total planned around the height of the tide.
Mid-week – £40 per person with group discount – 4 hours in total planned around the height of the tide.
Individuals are charged dependant on numbers and adapting in other groups.
Where can we go Coasteering?
We run our Coasteering events along the whole of the South Wales coast, so whether you’re on a Stag Do in Cardiff, Hen Do in Swansea, Family Holiday in Porthcawl or a Scout Camp in the Brecon Beacons we can arrange your activity in a convenient location.
It is possibly to run Coasteering events throughout the year, however all activities are dependent of weather and sea conditions.

Will Souvenir Photos be taken of the event?
All our groups have the option of requesting souvenir photos to be taken whilst on the event free of charge, photos are simply requested to be taken when booking the activity.
The main purpose of the instructors and guides will be to assist with the activities safety therefore photos will be taken in areas where they can be safely conducted.
Participants are also allowed to take there own cameras but will take the chance of loss or damage due to the nature of the events.
